TamaRe House has created the opportunity for any up-and-coming writer, and of any educational genre, to publish their work at a fraction of the regular industry cost. Your complete book, after being copy-edited and proof-read can be ready for publishing in as early as six weeks from the point of receiving workable files.

TamaRe House offer publishing services packages starting from as little as £499. With all packages we look after all legal and administrative tasks. We will automatically assign an ISBN number and EAN/ISBN barcode. We also offer brief library cataloguing as well as submission of two copies of your book to the British Library; one to the Library and Archives (Canada), and one to Library of Congress, (USA) (optional).

Distribution

TamaRe House Publications are projected to be stocked by thousands of bookshops in the UK and worldwide: by way of Pepukayi Books, Bertrams Books, Gardners, Lightning Source, Libri; and in the USA: by Ingram, Baker & Taylor and other wholesale distributors.

When we receive and process orders from libraries, bookshops and wholesalers, they receive standard book trade discounts of 15%, 35% and 50% respectively. We also offer a minimum of 55% discount on books you purchase to sell your self; and you keep all profits.

We also distribute through popular online sellers including Passionet.net, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com, Borders.com, Abebooks.com, Blackwell.co.uk and others. eBook creation for sale is also optionally available.

Books are printed as they are firmly ordered by our wholesale distributors, and we have a sale-or-return policy, which is attractive to most retailers. This system reduces the issue of stock-piling, and massive bulk producing costs.

Affordability and Royalties

Your investment in our publishing services comes with high royalty returns. From an investment as low as £499, receive free copies of your book for passing out to reviewers, interviewers, friends and family etc. We can also professionally produce for you 5 review galleys to go with your book, when passing out to reviewers etc.

You will receive a royalty of 60% of the gross margin on all our orders, and will be paid quarterly. (This is calculated from the amount left available after the reseller's discount and printing costs are deducted from the retail price).

Books are usually priced by a minimum of 2.5 times the printing costs. You are in total control of this, as well as being in control of all rights to your manuscripts.

How does it all work?

After you have had your work Copy-edited and Proof-read simply send the manuscript to TamaRe House by CD, as well has by hard copy. (Do not email complete manuscripts, due to risk of picking up electronic viruses). We also provide Copy-editing, Proof-reading, and illustration services in-house; but you may also choose from a list of freelance editors and illustrators. See postal address here.

Our in-house technicians will produce a full-colour cover design for your book in accordance with your specifications - with sketches, illustrations, images and notes you provide.

From the moment we receive workable manuscripts, it can be as early as 6 weeks for your book to be ready for distribution. You will be required to pay the price of your chosen publishing package once we have accepted your manuscript for publishing,

Flexibility

All our publishing services packages offers flexibility to authors wishing to include some colour pages, CD/DVD tucked into a cover sleeve, hardback editions, perfect-bound or coil-bound versions, thicker paper and fold over flaps. This however adds to the base printing costs and increases retail price.

If you are reprinting an already published book with no manuscript, we can scan the pages digitally and produce a file ready for print. If you wish for our in-house editors to transcribe/ copy-type your (hand-written or previously published) manuscript, just ask for a quote. Generally it is about £6 per thousand words.
