------ Excerpts ------
Do You Notice The Diamond In The Rug?
18th May 2005
Laying on the rug
In amongst the dirt
Lays something truly precious
Walked upon
As if it's worthless
It remains unnoticed
As if it's worth can't be spotted
It sparkles constantly
Yet amazingly
It doesn't get noticed
By anybody
Is it too small, to be given attention?
Or is it the fault
Of those walking by, not noticing?
To find one is extremely rare
For the diamond in the rug
Does anybody really care?
No Going Back
25th February 2005
Watching the river go by
Daydreaming
About times gone by
Throwing stones in the water
I never thought I
Reach this moment in my life
Where I would come to the realisation
That it's over
I've got to let go
So I take 1 deep breath
Pick up my bag
And take the first few steps down the road
Of no return
If anything I've learned
That in life
There’s no going back
So I take one look back
Then keep on going
Because there's
No Going Back.
